The last time Ray and I went on a date just the two of us was sometime last fall. So at the end of March we finally managed to book a babysitter and head out for dinner on a Saturday night. But it was a week after I found out I was pregnant! So no wine for me :( We still had some delicious pizza and dessert at the restaurant bar (I love sitting at the bar now, whenever we are alone. It's something we can't do with a child.) Anyway, since there are so few pictures of me in front of the lens these days, and because I looked much nicer than I usually do, I snapped a picture before we went out.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I am pregnant again! And my due date? <b>The exact same day as Lyla was.</b> 365 days in the year, but we thought we'd do it the same again. :) What are those odds??!!</div>

I fear the slow and torturous march to no nap has begun, but I will try to hold on to what is left for as long as I can. She can still nap for 90 minutes to 2 hours, but then the next day fight it tooth and nail and not sleep at all. And when she does sleep, end up in some peculiar places. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>Exhibit A</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
After playing in her room and reading books for almost an hour, she falls asleep in the chair in her room.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNujJDS123VP3vJf29mfz4Uj6fhu7dYw1WTUE2ttJTN8YrvoQjSuLsGigb-jtFc5XSrhUeHJZyD4Ne_ck2Wb-alm1NmNXbq7Jz70DzW8HCHWbeYIKonme7sPHpqgDB5fQfLBSM0qUA_93P/s1600/IMG_3663.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNujJDS123VP3vJf29mfz4Uj6fhu7dYw1WTUE2ttJTN8YrvoQjSuLsGigb-jtFc5XSrhUeHJZyD4Ne_ck2Wb-alm1NmNXbq7Jz70DzW8HCHWbeYIKonme7sPHpqgDB5fQfLBSM0qUA_93P/s320/IMG_3663.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>Exhibit B</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here we have a recent common example in which she falls asleep at nap time and wakes very disturbed after 35 minutes or so. I go get her and lay down on the chaise couch with her and she falls asleep again on the chest for anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour (depending if I remembered to go to the bathroom before or not)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiouNKvuNgfy6EsjHSpDgx3PK61yGVKBLgzR98a531n3SqmDYAbw5WZiDt17AAYRJzcfez8xKDlyihjvE2zBRr-scuyAxF_IiA8wymHu-haAPxlxgWS2NMsR6wHVmcQWs40dETo73g9VbNO/s1600/IMG_3665.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiouNKvuNgfy6EsjHSpDgx3PK61yGVKBLgzR98a531n3SqmDYAbw5WZiDt17AAYRJzcfez8xKDlyihjvE2zBRr-scuyAxF_IiA8wymHu-haAPxlxgWS2NMsR6wHVmcQWs40dETo73g9VbNO/s320/IMG_3665.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>Exhibit C</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here we are visiting my parents in Atlanta so it's a little different, but on this day she fell asleep next to her bed, wedged between it and a desk. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYbjEU0C9TMz5WmXnbHfuyJ31kF2TD256hMi3fGoGHykN4Aweh0FbeNJrQoUBtVUvbEyEtYmRdXZlxaCfV6bBTVMJjahgH65iThhfvH96NufLUfPrul_H5IPSv3fWF-gyg2ZCMcPC7B81v/s640/blogger-image--1145926198.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYbjEU0C9TMz5WmXnbHfuyJ31kF2TD256hMi3fGoGHykN4Aweh0FbeNJrQoUBtVUvbEyEtYmRdXZlxaCfV6bBTVMJjahgH65iThhfvH96NufLUfPrul_H5IPSv3fWF-gyg2ZCMcPC7B81v/s400/blogger-image--1145926198.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
During our visit she napped 3 out of the 4 days. On the no-nap day she had a massive meltdown at bedtime that took 45 minutes to resolve before passing clean out. This is why I've never understood parents that easily and frequently skip naps for the social schedule. I'd rather brush my teeth with gravel than voluntarily set up that situation!</div>

I made<a href="http://acozykitchen.com/strawberry-baked-oatmeal/"> this recipe</a> last weekend for breakfast and it was AMAZING, we all loved it. I used the full vanilla bean instead of half, soy milk, and coconut oil instead of butter and it was really delicious. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This week we went to Lemos Farm with Finn, Lauren, and Steve. Lemos Farm is located on 92 on the way to Half Moon Bay. They have goats, pony rides, a hay ride, train, bounce houses, a jungle gym, and pumpkins at this time of year. We had great weather and a nice time with our friends.</div>

Lyla didn't want anything to do with the goats, the hay ride, or the train (scared of them right now). She had interest in the bounce house but I couldn't go with her and I knew that'd end in an elbow in the face and tears. She enjoyed watching Finn ride a pony and she played a little on the jungle gym, but the biggest event for her was chasing this cat around for a while.</div>

My book club had a purely social evening last night, and I brought dessert. It's me of course; given the choice why would I bring anything else? </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I decided to make something I've wanted to try for a while. Ever since I pinned <a href="http://www.eatliverun.com/french-silk-chocolate-pie-with-hazelnut-crust/">this chocolate pie recipe</a> I've wanted to try making the crust with <a href="http://suiteapplepie.blogspot.com/2010/11/cravings.html">my chocolate tofu pudding</a>. The hazelnuts sounded just right for the chocolate filling and the tofu would keep it from being too heavy. This was my first time making a pie crust of this kind and it turned out really well~</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdE4srxThDOPStx-F5COSlyfT8CHFlvPSUe6zmNQC-7lxyAdpb7r8aY3joshiKv1HHSTODvF7nXUscDXwB-ZCEp_5c3sPC9RqqVSoLHO9RARnOXqLZllTFcvKa8uIV4XJRTwwSPCbkdJUG/s1600/P1000201.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdE4srxThDOPStx-F5COSlyfT8CHFlvPSUe6zmNQC-7lxyAdpb7r8aY3joshiKv1HHSTODvF7nXUscDXwB-ZCEp_5c3sPC9RqqVSoLHO9RARnOXqLZllTFcvKa8uIV4XJRTwwSPCbkdJUG/s400/P1000201.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHDkzLkH8lhILwtL6FFgCzmDGr1_qMc5v4rF-fpRTHih18u_bCyuNsMN6G44CStyL3ubLyXbjC3f1xP5bdCvuuO-ZZVs3J1XfI2q3Mn5xokKeCProeABdsgMKlm-pJpFNfC4ursE9ja5oB/s1600/P1000203.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHDkzLkH8lhILwtL6FFgCzmDGr1_qMc5v4rF-fpRTHih18u_bCyuNsMN6G44CStyL3ubLyXbjC3f1xP5bdCvuuO-ZZVs3J1XfI2q3Mn5xokKeCProeABdsgMKlm-pJpFNfC4ursE9ja5oB/s400/P1000203.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The end result: I think everyone liked it! It was luscious and deeply chocolatey, but it was not heavy which is a side effect of the traditional chocolate pie. I served it without adornment, but some whipped cream would be good if there are men around next time.</div>

It calls for 5 pounds of apples, cooked on the stovetop for a while first to soften. Total labor is more than a regular pie, but the extra apples are delicious. <br />

I was trying to capture how the sun has lightened the tips of her hair this summer. It's light gold in some places and very pretty. Lyla eating ice cream, I remember this day in March. I think it was a Friday, and I was letting her have a little treat. I put some chocolate and vanilla on either side of the container, and I remember how excellent her spoon skills were, I hadn't seen her handle a utensil that well. She really enjoyed that ice cream too, taking her time to eat almost all of what I gave her.</div>

On Easter morning we gave Lyla the teaset my parents gave her and had a nice time watching her play with the cups and teapot. 3 out of 4 spoons are now missing, they are somewhere in the house and we'll probably find them when we move. :) She looked so pretty in her dress too, very cute. </div>

In April I took Lyla to meet my dad's parents and my godparents, my dad's brother and his wife. They live in Scottsdale, Arizona and I wanted to get there before it got too hot. As it was, it was in the high 90s/low 100s already! It was a really nice weekend trip. I was a little worried how Lyla would behave, but she was <i>wonderful</i> with Grandma and Grandpa and did pretty well considering some disturbed sleep. We did have a crazy episode with a broken crib on the second night, but now it's just a funny story. I learned that Lyla loves phyllo, picking around the spinach in the spanakopita to get it.</div>

I think this was late May that we went to tea at a little shop in Burlingame with my parents. Dad was working of course but he stopped in later to see us and do a little work before a meeting. Mom and Lyla and I enjoyed a small tea with sandwiches, scones, and cookies. It wasn't very good, but the company was excellent and it was fun to have Lyla there while we enjoyed one of our favorite customs. They had a nice shortbread cookie that Lyla liked. When we were done she roamed the shop a bit, becoming especially acquainted with a funny vent at the back that made some noise.</div>

Over Memorial Day weekend we traveled to St. Louis for the wedding of one of Ray's cousins. It was really hot there, and the morning we went to the St. Louis Zoo was no exception. Zoos aren't my favorite place to begin with as you may know, but the heat was an extra layer to get through. The penguin habitat was heavily refrigerated and so a nice break, but the shock of going from hot to really really cold was most unpleasant. Shortly after this I could see Lyla losing steam and beginning to nod off. Sure enough, she fell asleep on me in the baby carrier and slept the entire trek back to the car.</div>

One Sunday I decided to make sugar cookies, and when they were done Ray enjoyed his fresh from the oven cookie on the doorstep, sharing little bits with a cookie-loving companion. You can see a bit of her great artwork of chalk in front of them. The ground and front of the house are covered until it rains.</div>

The past few months have had many mornings of waking up at 4:30am, at which time I bring her in our bed, she nurses and we fall back to sleep for a little while. It has been (really) challenging (at times, others it is very nice), but I know one day I will look back on it and miss her curled up next to me in a little warm bundle. One morning when I got up at 6 I snapped this picture of her before waking her for the day. I think I have an almost identical shot of her in that spot just a few months old. I need to find that and do a side by side comparison.</div>

Lyla has named Dad Beepop (what comes out of her mouth when she says Grandpop). Whether or not it's his name for life, it's a sweet one. We spent a really nice week in August at a beach house in New Jersey with my family. Lyla didn't love the beach this year (the surf is loud and scary and sand is 'yucky.' ha!) but she did enjoy going up and down the stairs in the house, watching Mom cook in the kitchen, racing back and forth on the balcony, watching Berenstein Bears on John's iPad, and eating lots and lots of snacks. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This tutu bathing suit was a hand-me-down from Brooke Henrikson, a really really cute one. Lyla barely made it out to the beach, but I still attempted to get a picture of her in it. We're deep in our phone obsession phase so I didn't get a really great one.</div>

So here's the thing- you get how hard it can be to find the time to do personal things with kids, and sometimes you have to pick and choose. I've been choosing another things, but I want to get back into this. This blog is private now because I don't want random people pulling up my blog and pictures of my kids. ]</span></div>

Meet Kitty.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Kitty is Lyla's special friend. He sleeps in her crib with her and comes on some outings with us. He's starting to feel quite loved and smell a little, how shall I say, ripe. She loves him though.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I don't yet know how I will steal him to wash him, but we have a little time to figure that out still.Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15072504277171834464noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2394648976986433796.post-79068609576337304562012-02-20T07:32:00.000-08:002012-02-20T07:32:22.666-08:00Choosing her Own Headband<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Lyla hates hats. She'll tolerate one for barely 10 seconds before she rips it off. So imagine my surprise last week when she came crawling into the kitchen with this on her head.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbiyl3ZkQPfNPlvi36rpO-l7RFFr8LmcY8vkbAHDsarB6vfDalhgIUiCLmXEDmsaUNEvKFk6ClpbtEEkuP1Jy2_HE-jfsIm1JwJvtR9l-M1xyRJH3F6d7eNy0l71fEvSt3v-NpOI1rp2KU/s1600/IMG_2516.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbiyl3ZkQPfNPlvi36rpO-l7RFFr8LmcY8vkbAHDsarB6vfDalhgIUiCLmXEDmsaUNEvKFk6ClpbtEEkuP1Jy2_HE-jfsIm1JwJvtR9l-M1xyRJH3F6d7eNy0l71fEvSt3v-NpOI1rp2KU/s320/IMG_2516.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
She had got hold of one of the headbands I wear to work out, somehow put it on her head, and left it there.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA5_jymAkgVUaveSBAFXL4czZUoxxxknPPIo0vsZi1z3DFyjTC7oCeCPxbYyugthbAxkPhjipybRc2DKPSb7cpfMq6_wQ5NfYUUV-nqVkkvRHlOMaaF1le2ZKmhbeNdZeNDaptJMxpV1t5/s1600/IMG_2521.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA5_jymAkgVUaveSBAFXL4czZUoxxxknPPIo0vsZi1z3DFyjTC7oCeCPxbYyugthbAxkPhjipybRc2DKPSb7cpfMq6_wQ5NfYUUV-nqVkkvRHlOMaaF1le2ZKmhbeNdZeNDaptJMxpV1t5/s320/IMG_2521.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
It stayed on her head through a trip out to dinner (we went to <a href="http://www.jacksprime.com/">Jack's Prime</a> and she stole both of our straws), all the way up to bath time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg13t_sh5IHY-YUIX1xUrfLRntpETOim24j9DHm8jUXROGz-yPXxqovJoIKVsJewjbIMVdNUfLIIs2KpYLQW-DT88a9aKsG0bgVi8czAgIA3AH3383SVynYTC7BqfhOZIbVsxnKq7NmWUux/s1600/IMG_2523.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg13t_sh5IHY-YUIX1xUrfLRntpETOim24j9DHm8jUXROGz-yPXxqovJoIKVsJewjbIMVdNUfLIIs2KpYLQW-DT88a9aKsG0bgVi8czAgIA3AH3383SVynYTC7BqfhOZIbVsxnKq7NmWUux/s320/IMG_2523.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I'd like to think she purposely put it there, but I'm afraid not. More likely it accidentally landed on her head and she couldn't feel it. Still, it looked really cute. I'm scheming a way to put one on her again.<br />

At almost 15 months, this is Lyla's repertoire of speech (in rough order because I don't completely remember):</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Wow</div>
<div>
Hi </div>
<div>
Dada</div>
<div>
Meow (cat sound, in reference to felines and other mammals including small dogs)</div>
<div>
Uff Uff and Bow-Wow (doggie sounds, in reference to dogs)</div>
<div>
Yea</div>
<div>
Baa (sheep sound, in reference to sheep, goats, and cows)</div>
<div>
Bye-Bye</div>
<div>
Mama</div>
<div>
Up</div>
<div>
Down</div>
<div>
Again</div>
<div>
Oh Yea</div>
<div>
No</div>
<div>
Me</div>
<div>
You</div>
<div>
Yes</div>
<div>
Apple</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Everything is pretty clear except 'Again,' which loosely sounds like the word but I know that's what she is saying because I'm her mom.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

We've taken our third flight trip with Lyla, this time to Mexico!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Ray's company had their annual President's Club trip to Cabo San Lucas this year, so we headed down there for three days. This was the third visit for Ray and I, and the shortest flight we've taken with Lyla.</div>

We lucked out with empty seats in our row both there and back, which was a lifesaver. As hard as flying was before, it's more challenging now with a squirmy toddler who doesn't want to sit nicely and refuses to take a nap!</div>

Certainly the longest break since I started writing at Suite Apple Pie in August 2007. This little baby has turned into a toddler and there's even less free time now. <div><br /></div><div>Lots more play and less napping time during the day; Lyla took two naps for the last time on November 1st, and the one nap is mostly 90 minutes or less (although we've had some longer ones lately). She's still a really early riser, between 5:00am and 6:00am, and mostly closer to 5. Bedtime is still 7pm and it's easy and pleasant for which I am SO grateful after the months of horrible crying. I go to bed at 9pm to try and get 8 hours. She has been waking again once a night for a while and for the most part I haven't fought it. I even bring her into our bed to fall asleep again in the 4 o'clock hour. This is a no-no in some circles but it has worked for us, getting both of us back to sleep quicker.</div><div><br /></div><div>Lyla really likes to eat. Favorite meals include oatmeal for breakfast, pb&j for lunch, and pasta with cheese for dinner. Likes: cutie clementines, bananas, plain yogurt, pumpkin, pancakes, peanut butter, egg whites, pasta, quinoa, CHEESE, ice cream, chocolate, peas, pureed soups. Dislikes: egg yolks, avocado, apples (raw and cooked).</div><div><br /></div><div>We don't have a walker yet, although it seems like she's getting really close. Lots of standing practice, it seems like she's standing more than sitting sometimes. She's a really fast crawler, and can get around just fine like that. She does LOVE to look at books and be read to; we spend just as much time reading books as we do playing with toys.</div><div><br /></div><div>Our mornings begin much as they have all along. She nurses upon waking and than plays in the living room while I work out. We make and have breakfast, and then I put on Sprout (a channel for toddlers that shows Caillou, Sesame Street, and Kipper) while I clean up and then shower. We run errands or do activities before her lunch at 10:30 and she goes down for her nap around 11:15am. In the afternoon we do more playing or outside activities. Dinner is at 5:30, bath at 6:10, bedtime at 7pm. Despite the onset of toddler tantrums, my days are more pleasant and enjoyable now.</div><div><br /></div><div>All the most recent pictures are on my iPhone, I need to download them and post some very soon.</div>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15072504277171834464noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2394648976986433796.post-40876379558594954222011-11-21T08:00:00.000-08:002011-11-21T08:00:04.277-08:00A Year in Pictures<div align="center">Day of Her Birth:</div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJB5DIeCEutP9H7ejaNMBQeKFumCsOnPlL-yxhovnQyWOlq174pFJCPfanRD4ChHA1_k8bFnCeNrMt1KiUAIj2c27nbun3v4iCnhQIg9nraWhGFUhz1La9QQcf00WyPTYKMfJG68PQG6Nq/s1600/Sleeping+1.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5677247126076221394" style="DISPLAY: block; Workout junkie I call it. Yes I'm a bit of a nerd.</div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Because of my c-section I had a longer recovery period than I'd anticipated, and doctor's orders to stay away from exercise for a full six weeks. I was too busy and tired to fully acknowledge the lack of workouts in my life, but I actually enjoyed the forced time off more than I thought I would. But when I got the green light to begin my old routine again, I was very happy since I feel so much better throughout the day after some good exercise.</div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">When Lyla was tiny, we'd wake up and I'd nurse her before getting dressed and heading out to the living room. I would lay her beneath the toys on her playmat and I could get in a good 20-minutes before she'd need attention. Then I'd make and eat breakfast before some playing followed by her nap. I'd finish my routine and shower while she slept. </div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">We've managed to keep this morning routine throughout her development- from playmat to sitting with support and now to crawling and pulling up. When Lyla started playing with toys I'd lay a few out for her, in greater quantities as she got bigger to keep her occupied. Now I just give her one or two since she likes to go retrieve more herself. :) </div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Even though she's bigger, the situation works better for me now. On the one hand she is mobile (i.e. crawling beneath my feet) so I have to dodge her and keep an eye out if she goes behind me. But more importantly, she has a longer attention span and can entertain herself better, so I'm able to get my whole workout in in one piece rather than breaking it up. My body much prefers this and so does my schedule.</div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">My workout space is our living room (it used to be Lyla's room). It's not a huge space so my weights do have to sit in plain view. (This annoys me for aesthetic reasons but being able to exercise at home trumps the look, so I got over it. Moving on...) Before she could move they just sat in the corner, not bothering anyone. But now she could slip and fall on them and hurt herself, so I've placed them in these plastic containers. I remove the lids when it's time to exercise, and they make great items to pull up on and cruise.</div></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><iframe width="459" height="344" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6KVR9nOGkhs?fs=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">It's not always easy and there are days when I miss being able to focus 100%, but it's a pretty good system. This is one of those things that I need to keep doing for me, and I like that I'm modeling good habits for Lyla from the very beginning.</div>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15072504277171834464noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2394648976986433796.post-63761681888523488912011-10-23T09:12:00.000-07:002011-10-23T09:21:12.116-07:00Impromptu Photo Shoot Before Church<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqRE72a4PC07jIElJ8qKm68XXncBdh7vwaHBd94MU2DYL7B_7Q0gGNkP3pPICBQk6A3gJtV5Ksoimb9-8r8luo1kQJm4_ECaguaPfrEEzM_iTjHcApbMW-ub6G1AmSCaVF_-Lch7wqHGXI/s1600/15.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; I can hardly believe it! It will be a joy to celebrate her turning one, but it will also be a day of reflection for me as I remember the day she was born. But first things first~</div><div><br /><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666352100366316242" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS2FJq7lGd6ew6Y78xoy0gG_G-kItYeLq7ZYIGSJp4EjPQ2ZFn-hG-FNQyMQ2uv9tQDzut2B3CAw6pm0hgedJRXL76PsKB27c24S5w4EbvN4zajhnlq43KZiPU6fM2rzezssJdfYdwpWDD/s320/hello%2521+in+the+hallway.JPG" border="0" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" ><i>exploring the upstairs (with new slippers!)</i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Last week Lyla and I flew to visit my parents who have recently (and temporarily!) relocated to Atlanta, GA.
